Description
Fused Silica Bricks, also known as zero-expansion silica bricks or thermal shock-resistant silica bricks, possess an extremely low thermal expansion coefficient, exceptional resistance to rapid cooling and heating, and excellent high-temperature performance. They find extensive use in the rapid repair of various coke ovens.
Application of Fused Silica Bricks:
Fused silica bricks offer good thermal shock resistance, low thermal expansion, low bulk density, and minimal thermal conductivity, making them suitable for heat preservation and reducing heat loss. They are primarily used in flow aluminum tanks, aluminum gates, and as upper wall masonry in low alkali borosilicate glass furnaces.
Advantages of Fused Silica Bricks:
High purity, making them corrosion-resistant.
Small thermal expansion coefficient.
Excellent thermal shock resistance.
High viscosity at high temperatures, along with high strength, strong slag resistance, and impact resistance.
Low thermal conductivity and minimal drying and firing shrinkage.
